Seminar on Stem Cells

Yesterday, we had a rather busy morning at the Advanced Cell Technology Lab (MIA Portugal). Following a kind invitation from Cristina Marquez, head of the Márquez Lab - DYNABrain, we hosted 5th grade students from Agrupamento de Escolas Marquês Marialva, Cantanhede. Our team had the opportunity to deliver a seminar on Stem Cells and perform hands on experiments (blood smear, isolation of cells from oral cavity, observation of histological sections from different organs and visualization of cells under a microscope...).

Many questions went unanswered...

Hopefully some of the students will address them in the future!
