Coming Soon _ ACT Lab at the European Researchers' Night 2026

The European Researchers' Night (ERN) 2026 will take place on 25 September 2026, in downtown Coimbra, under the theme "Union of Skills, Transforming the Future". The annual event will bring together researchers from the University of Coimbra and partner institutions to engage the public through hands-on activities, demonstrations, and interactive experiences that showcase the impact of scientific research on society.

The ACT Lab will once again participate in this major science outreach initiative, contributing to the programme with activities designed to promote scientific literacy and inspire curiosity among visitors of all ages.

Through interactive demonstrations, the group will present its research on ageing, metabolism, and metabolic diseases, highlighting how fundamental research can contribute to improving human health.

Organized within the framework of MIA-Portugal and the European Researchers' Night, the event will run from 3:00 p.m. to 11:00 p.m. along a science route in the historic centre of Coimbra, bringing together researchers, students, and the wider community in a celebration of science and innovation.

The ACT Lab looks forward to welcoming visitors and sharing its research with the community, reinforcing its commitment to science communication, public engagement, and inspiring future generations of scientists.
