On the morning of July 23, 2025, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM, the ACT Lab had the pleasure of hosting the final internship report presentations of two Biotechnology undergraduate students, Weza Brito and Gabriela Domingues.
The session took place at the Escola Superior Agrária de Coimbra (ESAC) and marked an important milestone in both students' academic journeys. Supervised as part of their Bachelor's degree program, their internships were developed within the scope of ongoing projects at the ACT Lab, focusing on the effects of exercise mimetics and caloric restriction, during osteogenic differentiation.
Their research work, carried out between April and July 2025, was supervised by ACT Lab researcher Cláudia Deus, who provided scientific guidance and support throughout the internship period.
Both students demonstrated a high level of professionalism and scientific rigor in their reports and presentations. Their work was well received by the evaluation panel, which praised their commitment, critical thinking, and clear communication of complex topics.
We congratulate Weza and Gabriela on this achievement and wish them continued success in their academic and professional futures.
The ACT Lab is proud to have contributed to their growth as young researchers.
