On June 30 and July 1, 2025, the University of Coimbra’s MIA-Portugal welcomed the 1st Symposium on Ageing of the Vascular, Immune, Haematopoietic & Musculoskeletal Systems.

The event brought together around 80 participants for two enriching days marked by insightful talks, dynamic discussions, and the vibrant exchange of ideas.

The symposium served as a powerful testament to the importance of interdisciplinary collaboration in advancing the understanding of ageing across multiple biological systems.

Researchers from diverse fields connected, shared perspectives, and laid the groundwork for future partnerships - reinforcing the vital role of collective knowledge in tackling complex scientific questions.

This first edition set the tone for many more moments of discovery, dialogue, and collaboration to come.
