14th International Meeting of the Portuguese Society for Stem Cells and Cell Therapy (SPCE-TC)

The ACT Lab was represented at the 14th International Meeting of the Portuguese Society for Stem Cells and Cell Therapy (SPCE-TC), held at i3S – Institute for Research and Innovation in Health, in Porto.


This annual meeting brought together leading national and international experts in stem cell biology and cell therapy to explore recent scientific advances, major challenges, and emerging therapeutic strategies.


The ACT Lab was represented by Hugo Fernandes, who participated in the event and engaged in scientific discussions with researchers from across the field.


Cláudia Deus presented her work in the poster session, showcasing the study titled:“miRNA-642a-3p modulates glucolipotoxicity-induced metabolic and mitochondrial dysfunction in pancreatic beta cells.”

Her participation contributed to disseminating ongoing research from the ACT Lab and strengthening collaborations within the scientific community.


The ACT Lab values the importance of participating in scientific events such as the SPCE-TC Meeting, which foster knowledge exchange, critical reflection, and a strong sense of community among researchers.
